Rebecca Yun, Ph.D.
Background: Dr. Rebecca Yun is the founder of Life Insight as well as a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Yun has extensive experience successfully treating individuals and their families struggling with
anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral regulation, and autism. She provides comprehensive neuropsychological and psycho-educational evaluations, providing insight into an individual’s cognitive, academic, emotional, as well as interpersonal functioning. Dr. Yun is also a consulting psychologist at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Center for Psychological Services and lectures parent groups about topics such as child development and test administration.
Education & Training: Dr. Yun graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Psychology and Latin. She obtained her Ph.D. in clinical psychology and certification in school psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Yun has trained at major institutions such as Beth Israel Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Maimonides Medical Center. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship that specialized in learning and neuropsychological assessments. Since then, she has obtained additional training in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorders and developmental delay. Finally, she conducted her dissertation with Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research.
About Me: Dr. Yun enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, taking long walks with their dog, Riley. She is active in her school community and has helped organize several fundraisers, including spearheading a drive to raise funds for foster children transitioning to independence. As a mother to a child with developmental delay, she appreciates first-hand the many joys and challenges that come with raising a child with special needs.
