Jessica Stinson, Psy.D.

Background:  Dr. Jessica Stinson is a nationally certified school psychologist, currently pursuing her psychology license in New Jersey. She has completed her doctoral studies and obtained extensive fieldwork experience working with students receiving special education services. She maintains expertise in IEP, 504, and I&RS planning, execution and development. Coupled with this, Dr. Stinson has knowledge of and experience in implementing FBAs and behavioral plans. Dr. Stinson has also provided group social skills counseling with particular training in the PEERs curriculum. Drawing from her experience in implementing the HOPS program, she has focused on helping individuals strengthen executive functioning in organization and time management. Throughout her training, Dr. Stinson has spent a great deal of time assisting individuals diagnosed with Autism, ranging from PreK-College age. Most recently, she worked directly with college students within Fairleigh Dickinson University’s (FDU) COMPASS program, helping to ensure a successful transition into independent living. Additionally, Dr. Stinson has taught undergraduate psychology courses at FDU and was a teaching assistant for graduate-level courses. At present, Dr. Stinson provides individual counseling and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to children, teens, and adults.
 

Education & Training:  Dr. Stinson earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Kean University. She continued her education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she obtained her M.A. in School Psychology and Psy.D. During her graduate studies, she conducted cognitive assessment research and assisted in training future practitioners in assessment. Her pre-doctoral training was completed in various school districts across northern New Jersey. Currently, Dr. Stinson serves as a school psychologist in a local public school and works as a practitioner with Life InSight.
 

About Me:Outside of her professional life, Dr. Stinson enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, whether at the pool, a local coffee shop, or home. She loves basking in the sun with a good book and has a passion for baking and all things related to elephants.
