Kristin Kim-Martin, Ph.D.

Background: Dr. Kristin Kim-Martin is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Kim-Martin has extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan with special interest in treating adolescents and emerging adults. She is highly trained in evidence-based CBT modalities (e.g., ERP, ACT) and specializes in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and related disorders comorbid with depression, ADHD, ASD, and behavior regulation issues. Dr. Kim-Martin is also a supervising psychologist at Life InSight and Hamilton-Madison House in NYC, providing clinical supervision to doctoral trainees and postdoctoral fellows.


Education & Training:  Dr. Kim-Martin graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in Psychology and obtained her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Seton Hall University. Her dissertation explored the impact of immigration on the help-seeking behaviors of second-generation Korean Americans. She has trained across both outpatient and inpatient settings, completing her predoctoral internship at Hamilton-Madison House and postdoctoral fellowship at Anxiety Institute in Madison, NJ. Dr. Kim-Martin is also a certified school counselor with an M.Ed in school counseling from Rutgers University.


About Me: Dr. Kim-Martin is an avid lover of coffee, plants, and doing home improvement projects on the weekends. She also enjoys her free time with her husband and daughter trying local eats, visiting WCS parks in NYC, and taking trips to visit extended family. She is an active member of New Mercy Palisades Church and is an advocate for increasing access to mental health services for the local Korean American immigrant community, volunteering her time developing community-based mental health programming for local groups.
