Matthew Zuch, Ph.D.

Prior to beginning his private practice as a licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Zuch was a member of The NYU Child Study Center where he served as the Clinical Director – NJ Campus, as an Associate Research Scientist, and as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Zuch was also a co-developer and long-time Director of the Social Skills Groups at Fairleigh Dickinson University where he was also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Psychology. Dr. Zuch has lectured extensively in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parenting Techniques, Social Skills, Oppositional Behaviors, ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, and Depression in Adults and Children.


Dr. Zuch received his B.F.A. in Music Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music and did his graduate studies in Trumpet Performance at Yale University. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Additionally, Dr. Zuch has four years of specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders at the North Shore – LIJ Hospital’s Anxiety and Stress Treatment Center. 


Prior to working in psychology, Dr. Zuch was a trumpeter with Philharmonia Virtuosi and the New York City Opera.
